There have been several concerns come up surrounding internet access for government staff. As more government departments allow their staff access to the internet from work, the question must be raised about level of regulation that is appropriate. There is also a concern over the potential damage to productivity. Monitoring use has been rejected as it would make staff fearful to make use of the internet, even for legitimate purposes. The overall answer should be, if he or she is getting the job done, leave it well enough alone.
